On October 15th, the main structures of two 150000 ton LNG terminals (Jiangsu Guoxin Rudong LNG Receiving Terminal Supporting Terminal and Xiexin Huidong Jiangsu Rudong LNG Receiving Terminal Supporting Terminal) on Yangkou Port Sunshine Island, constructed by CCCC Second Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd., were completed.
The two docks are adjacent in location and structurally similar, both adopting a butterfly shaped dock design with a front edge of 410 meters. They are connected to Sunshine Island through a long wharf. The main wharf of the two docks is 5056 meters long, like two soaring dragons coming out to sea. The project construction covers multiple aspects such as wharf engineering, dock engineering, dredging engineering, and housing construction engineering, with a total investment of approximately 1.281 billion yuan. The Sunshine Island, which is supported by the dock, is the largest offshore LNG energy island in China. The island integrates storage, transportation, and reception. It is expected that after the entire island is completed, the annual LNG unloading capacity will reach 26 million tons, accounting for about 10% of the country's total.

The Jiangsu Guoxin Rudong Liquefied Natural Gas Receiving Station Supporting Terminal Project is an important component of the Jiangsu Guoxin Rudong Liquefied Natural Gas Receiving Station Project, a key LNG emergency supply guarantee project in Jiangsu Province. The completion of the project will further ensure the energy supply security of the Yangtze River Delta region.
The supporting terminal of the Jiangsu Rudong LNG receiving station of GCL Huidong is the first integrated dual supply and shared LNG terminal in China. It serves two LNG receiving stations through a single berth model, and supplies both PetroChina and GCL Huidong receiving stations.
After the project is officially put into operation, it will further fill the gaps in the LNG storage and transportation infrastructure along the coast of Nantong, enrich the clean energy supply channels in the Yangtze River Delta region, and provide solid hardware support to ensure the safe and stable operation of the regional gas supply chain, promote the transformation and upgrading of energy consumption structure, and achieve the "dual carbon" goal as scheduled. With the successive entry of these docks, a new highland of clean energy industry worth billions of yuan is accelerating its rise at Yangkou Port.
