On October 12th, the 300000 ton crude oil terminal project in Bohe New Port Area, Maoming Port, Guangdong Province passed the handover acceptance, laying a solid hardware foundation for the subsequent production and operation of the terminal.
It is reported that the 300000 ton crude oil terminal project in Bohe New Port Area of Maoming Port is a key project in Guangdong Province. The construction content includes the construction of a new 300000 ton crude oil terminal berth, with a total length of 404 meters and a designed annual throughput capacity of 16.5 million tons.
The project started construction in November 2022 and has completed the installation of 6500 ton sunken boxes, the installation of 145 deep water uncovered cast-in-place piles, the construction of a single pouring of over 2400 cubic meters of offshore large volume concrete platform, the installation of a reef blasting volume of 1 million cubic meters, and the installation of a 5-kilometer long process pipeline.
The relevant person in charge of Maoming Port said that the designed throughput of the project is 16.5 million tons/year, which complements the weakness of large crude oil unloading capacity, solidifies the foundation for the construction of Maoming world-class petrochemical industry base, and ensures the energy security of Guangdong region. The project has increased the number of South China VLCC berths directly, enriched China's offshore crude oil import channels, and helped to jointly build the "the Belt and Road" energy trade cooperation.
When completed, the project will serve the construction of the South China Sea (Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area) marine energy channel, participate in the construction of the "the Belt and Road", and reduce the crude oil transportation costs of petrochemical enterprises in Maoming and the hinterland.
